The Hamilton Golf Club - St Andrews course was opened in April 1913, and while originally an inland links style course, today it is more picturesque with some holes bordering the mighty Waikato River.
None more so than the challenging par 5 fourth hole, a short dogleg giving the player many options on the drive and second shot, but the river is always lurking to catch the wayward shot.
Open every day for members 7:00 - 19:00.
The club has more than 1,000 members, and offers membership categories to suit all levels. The club has a regular playing programme for competitive golf, as well as more social options, and caters for all ages and levels. It is a great place to meet people and enjoy the views from the established clubhouse, café and bar.
The Lodge Friday Open is held on the last Friday of every month and is an excellent format for visitors planning a visit.
