Club nights take place every Thursday (weather permitting) beginning at 5.30pm.
All ages start with a jog and some stretches to warm up. They will be split up into their age groups:
Our littlies (3 to 6 years) - will take part in running races and other game based activities as part of the Get Set Go! program. Finish time 6.30pm.
Our older athletes (7 years +) - will be taken through a rotation of 3-4 events, provided coaching on safe and proper use of equipment. Each night will usually be 1 running event (60m up to 1500m) and 2 field events (high jump or long jump & discus or shot put) and some skills. If there is time the evening will be finished of with a relay combining all of the 7+ children and even some parents if numbers are needed! Finishing at 7pm.
We try to measure all events at least once during Term 4 and again in Term 1, and give the children a record of how they have done over the season.
Parent help is always needed and a great additional way to encourage our children.
