About us

Te Waitere Boat Club is a community-focused boating club located in Te Waitere, New Zealand. The club serves as a hub for local residents and visitors interested in boating and related activities. Beyond boating, the club is actively involved in organizing events that foster community engagement and support local initiatives.​

Our programme

Te Waitere Boat Club hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year:​

• Te Waitere Classic: An annual mountain bike ride organised as a fundraising event to support the Te Waitere Boat Club and the Kawhia South community. ​

• Market Days: The club organises market days, such as the one held on Saturday, 14th September, providing an opportunity for locals to book stalls and engage with the community. 

• Sailing Activities: The club is involved in various sailing events, including those featuring OK dinghies, Optimist sailing, Laser sailing, and Tornado sailing.
