About us

The Thames Golf Club is an 18 hole undulating course situated a short drive from the historic gold mining settlement Thames. This is a country club that is friendly and always welcomes visitors whether from New Zealand or International. There is a good tree cover and the autumn colours are well worth seeing! Membership options range depending on what you are interested in - full playing, 9 holes only etc..

Open all year round, 7 days a week except Christmas Day and severe bad weather. Ladies Days, Mens Days, Twilight Golf - there are all sorts!

Our programme

Regular Events: 

Men's and Women's programmed events, Monday Vets, and Twilight Golf sessions. 

Tournaments:

The club hosts various tournaments throughout the year, fostering competitive play and community engagement.​

Junior Golf:

Programs designed to introduce young players to the game, focusing on skill development and enjoyment.​

Casual:

• 18 holes: $50.00
• 9 holes: $25.00

Junior NZ Affiliated:

• 18 holes: $12.00
• 9 holes: $10.00

Junior Casual:

• 18 holes: $15.00
• 9 holes: $13.00

Cart Hire:

• 18 holes: $25.00 (Members), $40.00 (Non-Members)
• 9 holes: $15.00 (Members), $25.00 (Non-Members)

Facilities:

• Fully stocked golf shop with equipment rentals and club repair services.
• Clubhouse available for venue hire.
• Self-contained camping available on-site for a fee.

Membership:

• Various membership options are available, including full playing and 9-hole memberships.
• The club also offers reciprocal rights with several other clubs in the region.
